Strip metadata from a photo

A phone photo usually carries the camera model, the time it was taken and a point on the map. The panel under the result shows exactly what is in there, and the result itself carries none of it — the image is redrawn from scratch.

drop it here or paste with Ctrl+V · the file never leaves your device

Put an image on top — a logo, a sticker, a watermark.

How to do it

  1. Pick a photo — a list of what it records appears under the result
  2. Check whether coordinates are there; they are called out separately
  3. Download the result — the metadata is already gone

Frequently asked questions

How do I know the data is really gone?
It was measured: starting from a file carrying Kyiv coordinates, after re-encoding exifr finds no GPS, no camera model and no date — in JPEG, PNG, WebP or AVIF alike.
Does quality suffer?
The image is re-encoded, so for JPEG pick a high quality. If you need the metadata gone without touching a single pixel, the strip_metadata MCP tool does exactly that, at the byte level.
What about the colour profile?
An ICC profile is not data about you — it describes how to show the colours. The byte-level strip keeps it; re-encoding normalises the colours to ordinary sRGB.
Can I do many files at once?
Yes. Pick several and the batch mode kicks in, giving you a ZIP.
